Most mugs chip at the rim within three months. Ours is fired at 1280°C with a compression-glaze bond that resists microfractures. The handle is joined after forming, not molded in, so the grip never stresses the body.
This is not a mug designed to look good in a photo. It is engineered to hold up, pour after pour, year after year.
